Extended mounts are recommended for your long action CVA Cascade

Extended front ring version - brings the front ring closer to the rear ring by 1/4" to allow mounting for scopes with shorter tubes.  Front extended ring can be reversed for the opposite effect however,  that is not the common way to use this ring.
